Community Manager (12 Month FTC)

Remote London, Greater London, England, United Kingdom

Hello potential future Oatly employee. It’s us, the original oat drink company that started in Sweden back 25 or so years ago.

In the last few years, we’ve become a popular and pioneering dairy-alt player in the UK market. We're continuing to establish our presence here, determined on being part of the discussion on the long-term future of the food and beverage industry. With this growth, we need more brilliant minds to come work with us to keep the momentum going and the oat drink flowing.

We exist to make it easy for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources in the process. If this resonates with you, then maybe you’d like work for Oatly, too. So, let’s get to the formal stuff.

The Role

We're looking for a Community Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract. You'll act as the voice and ears for Oatly, joining a growing team of community managing masterminds globally – all of whom you’d work closely with.

In this role, you’ll be juggling multiple channels to engage with our consumers. You’ll use email, our website forum, social media platforms, and the phone (old school!) to do that.

Here’s the main elements of the role...

  • • Engaging and celebrating with our consumers through timely and accurate interactions.
  • • Answering challenging questions with clear, articulate answers.
  • • Being on the frontline to resolve consumer complaints.
  • • Be part of the conversation and debate we stimulate through our marketing campaigns.

All in all, you’ll be the one making consumers feel like they’re chatting to a friendly face rather than just another faceless corporation.

Who You Are

If the below sounds like you, we'd love to see an application:

  • You've got excellent social skills, and you’re a talented communicator with the ability to adapt to the Oatly tone in both languages.
  • You’re resilient, able to handle tough conversations with sensitivity and honesty.
  • You’re adaptable, with the ability to take on and complete tasks at short notice.
  • You’re calm in a crisis and deliver solutions with a calm pragmatism.
  • You’re IT literate, and comfortable getting to know and using multiple systems.
  • You’re competent and experienced in the fast-paced world of social media.

Another bulleted list felt redundant, so we wrote this long sentence with all the ways we sweeten the deal to work with us: 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays, carryover days and buy & sell scheme), comprehensive health and travel insurance, free therapy so you can be kind to your mind, an epic office space in Farringdon which comes with loads of snacks and breakfast (and amazing cappoatccinos), genuinely great co-workers who want to see the company and each other succeed, and a fridge full of the best non-dairy alternative in the world for your enjoyment.

Phew! Well done if you’ve got this far. We’re glad we’ve still got your attention because we’ve got one last super important point to make.

As you can probably tell, we’re a norm-breaking company. For us, diversity and differences are an obvious asset. We know that amazing candidates can sometimes be put off applying for a job unless they can tick every box, and that makes us really sad. So please trust your gut and pop in your application if it’s feeling right. Good luck!
