Director of Social Media

We’re officially on the search for a Director of Social Media to lead the efforts to grow the GHOST audience globally across Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), Facebook, Threads, YouTube, LinkedIn and other key social media platforms.


The Director will tackle and lead a variety of social media initiatives ranging from post ideation, copywriting, community management, and platform specific projects/campaigns. They will also be responsible for partnering with the marketing leadership team on the social media strategy, ideate new ways to expand an all-access content program, and drive the grow global/think local mindset.


The Deets:


  • Drive significant growth and engagement across platforms, hitting goals and KPIs that support the brand’s long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional marketing teams on launch campaign ideation and execution.
  • Set performance goals and manage monthly, quarterly, and launch campaign-specific social reporting processes to create actionable insights; integrating social data into broader marketing briefs to ensure data-driven content decisions that will optimize the overall social media content plan.
  • Craft innovative and impactful social media strategies, perfectly aligned with the GHOST® brand.
  • Maintain pulse on relevant industries/competitors, pop culture trends and current social media innovation to provide actionable insights and direction.
  • Oversee the development of the social calendar across all organic social channels and accounts.
  • Oversee the creation, distribution, and community management of content across all channels.
  • Manage and develop the internal social media team which includes overseeing day-to-day operations, setting goals & KPIs, performance reviews, and recruiting.


The Requirements:


  • 8+ years of social media marketing experience at a consumer goods brand and/or agency with DTC clients in their portfolio. Portfolio required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of the top social media networks (Facebook, X, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok).
  • Experience building and executing organic social media strategies on Instagram, X (Twitter) Facebook, and TikTok - understanding and actively using these platforms is critical!
  • Strong knowledge of sports nutrition and ready-to-drink beverage landscapes preferred.
  • Self-motivated/self-starter.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment with strong skills in organization.
  • Attention to detail and multi-tasking.
  • Takes feedback to execute change and make improvements.
  • Proven experience creating new processes, programs, and initiatives from scratch.
  • Strong problem-solving & troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication & writing skills.
  • Works well under pressure & has a flexible & positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail & ability to multitask.
  • Experience with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom) is a plus.
