Director, Social Media Strategy

About The Role
This position will lead the overarching strategy and performance of WMEF’s social media platforms (current focus on IG + TikTok + Youtube) and social brand presence. This role will play a vital role in continuing to grow all existing and future social platforms and audiences globally. This will involve concepting, implementing and executing a strategic and creative global social media plan, including content creation, copywriting and communication roll out per channel and platform.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the VP of Digital Content Strategy to create and execute social media strategy, planning and project management of all social activities across organizational objectives and for cross-functional initiatives to accomplish the strategic priorities, mission and vision of the organization.
- Strategize and focus on elevating the brand’s public perception and reputation through a social centric lens.
- Produce regular reports and presentations on social metrics for VP of Content Strategy and ELT- Set goals, track, analyze and report performance, identifying and implementing recommendations for improvement and growth
- Monitor, adhere to and reconcile the annual social media operating budget, accurately capturing expenses and ROI and ensuring budget performance and management.
- Collaborate with other divisions, including Creative, Talent Management, Partner/Talent Marketing, and Communications
- Informing, assessing, and addressing issues that affect the team and organization
- Developing and implementing the content and communication strategy through a social centric lens for brand content programs and campaigns
- Actively manage and react to online social sentiment, amplifying and promoting social growth.
- Provide leadership and manage Social Media team and oversee day-to-day operations related to social strategy and execution.
- Determine best practices for oversight of social strategy operating procedures, content development and execution, planning and project management, including evaluation, quality assurance, and implementation of process changes as necessary.
- Collaborate with VP of Digital Content Strategy to set current and long-term goals for internal team
- Lead in concepting, developing, and executing engaging and high performing and cost-effective content (focus on video) to be used for social media content, with a focus on lo-fi video
- Maintain a deep understanding of social media platforms, digital forecast and trends, utilizing research and data-based approach to identify key social messages and audiences, and work consistently to form and amplify a consistent brand narrative and aesthetic.
- Conduct and compare market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth through social media platforms.
Requirements And Skills
- At least 7+ years’ experience in a role within marketing, content creation/production, communications, and/or public relations / advertising agency or related area with an emphasis on Luxury and Fashion/Beauty
- Demonstrate experience designing and implementing successful social campaigns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe suite
- Proficiency in social media editing and scheduling tools and platforms including but not limited to Dash Hudson, Canva, CapCut.
- Excellent knowledge of social media landscape and global social media platforms.
- Solid knowledge of Luxury and Fashion/Beauty social Landscape.
- Firm interest in innovative new and upcoming digital platforms.
- Portfolio demonstrating excellent copywriting skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong idea generator, ability to think creatively and innovatively as a digital storyteller.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult, quick decisions.
- Team player who operates well in a dynamic, all hands-on deck environment.
- Proficiency in French and Italian is an added benefit.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, especially during key fashion months (February, September)
- Bachelor’s degree – Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism – preferred

Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Endeavor strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

$105,000 annually
Hiring Range Maximum
$140,000 annually
