Job Description

The Senior Director, Content & Social Media Integration holds a pivotal role within David Yurman, entrusted with shaping the brand narrative and market presence through innovative content and strategic communication. This position requires a visionary leader capable of crafting and executing comprehensive strategies aligned with business objectives and resonant with the audience.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Content Strategy Vision:

  • Develop and articulate a clear editorial and storytelling vision aligned with David Yurman’s marketing goals.
  • Formulate and implement digital, social, and influencer strategies to enhance followership and engagement.
  • Implement innovative owned and earned media strategies grounded in consumer insights and brand strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define content pillars and messaging frameworks.
  • Establish an editorial structure to integrate content creation efforts across the organization.
  • Lead owned social and earned media channel strategies and content plans, with a particular focus on Instagram and TikTok acceleration.

Content Strategy and Creation:

  • Design and execute a content strategy leveraging Instagram and TikTok to meet business objectives.
  • Cultivate content capabilities to produce high-quality, brand-aligned content.
  • Implement models for data-driven content topic validation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies for content innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling visual experiences.

Social Media:

  • Lead consumer marketing social media efforts with a focus on elevating Instagram and TikTok.
  • Develop and implement social media campaigns and creator activations.
  • Track customer feedback and industry trends.
  • Ensure seamless integration with PR efforts.
  • Brief Creative and External Partners on all social content
  • Manage relationships with social media platforms and agency partners.

Earned Media and Communications Strategy:

  • Develop strategies to enhance brand visibility through earned media.
  • Define press and earned media strategies, building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Integrate global communications seamlessly with marketing efforts.
  • Conceptualize and execute global brand activations.
  • Utilize advanced tools for real-time performance insights.
  • Oversee budgets and coordinate with creative partners.

Integrated Marketing:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for cohesive marketing efforts.
  • Partner with Go-To-Market teams for campaign planning and execution.
  • Analyze campaign data for optimization.

Team Management and Development:

  • Mentor team members across social media, communications, and content creation.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in social media, content, or communications in luxury, fashion, or brand leading in the social space.
  • Proven track record of developing successful earned media strategies.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Advanced understanding of social media and digital marketing.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dynamic team leader who not only nurtures efficient collaboration but also fosters the growth and development of team members.

Working Mode: Hybrid

Estimate Salary Range: $177,000 - $190,000

Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
