Social Engagement Manager - The Infatuation

Remote Los Angeles, CA

The Infatuation is hiring a Social Engagement Manager to be an extension of the brand’s voice on social, handle engagement within our online community, and provide exemplary support to our following on social.  


As a Social Engagement Manager in The Infatuation (CDJ), you will nurture a dynamic online community on multiple social media platforms. You will report to the Senior Manager, Social Strategy, and partner directly with the larger social media team to enhance our brand's online presence through strategic engagement and community development. Your focus will be engaging with our audience and forging meaningful connections that boost our brand's visibility. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner
  • Build and maintain relationships with our online community across a variety of markets and social media platforms
  • Report meaningful community feedback to the appropriate stakeholders 
  • Identify trends and opportunities on social that our brand can engage with 
  • Support the social media team with supplemental content and performance measurement


Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience working with online communities and creating social content for prominent brands or publishers
  • Proficient in crafting content with a diverse range of tones, seamlessly transitioning between light-hearted and playful brand interactions and more formal, corporate messaging
  • Profound understanding of the dynamics and language of online communities, with a deep immersion in platforms like TikTok and Instagram 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations that may arise from online discourse

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field preferred
