Sr. Social Media Specialist

Position Summary:


Love Wellness is seeking a dynamic and creative Sr. Social Media Specialist to join our team. This role will be instrumental in managing and growing our brand's presence across multiple social media platforms, with a strong focus on video content creation and strategy. Under the guidance of our Sr. Influencer and Community Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of our online social community, from supporting in concepting big ideas to executing day-to-day tasks across Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube. You will be responsible for working cross-functionally to support brand initiatives on our social channels and executing the Social Media Calendar. 


The ideal candidate will have a passion for the health and wellness space and creating content across multiple channels. The Sr. Social Media Specialist must possess excellent creative, organizational, and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and develop the full funnel social media strategy across Instagram and TikTok, inclusive of content creation, calendaring, creative feedback, and overall workflow in support of brand and retail initiatives
  • Assist with owning and developing the content strategy for founder’s social media accounts, ultimately supporting with the calendar, creative concepts, content creation, and workflow 
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally to outline social media calendars while adhering to the overall social strategy and content pillars
  • Schedule and post content using Dash Hudson for both brand and executive channels
  • Create content for TikTok and Instagram by working closely with the creative team and attending events, photoshoots, in-person retail visits, etc for behind-the-scenes content
  • Have strong video editing skills within native social media platforms, a good eye for creating engaging edits, and comfortable participating on camera
  • Own all project management including outlining and organizing social media content requests, uploading content, editing content, etc. 
  • Prepare and manage weekly shot lists for Founder and team content creation as well as any shot lists for retail shoots, in-person events, or photoshoots
  • Lead logistical duties for social content creation prep and planning including coordinating schedules for “In-Office” shoots, video shoots, picking up props, setting up shoot areas, etc. 
  • Own reporting on weekly channel performance and proactively make recommendations to optimize content and create more of what’s working and less of what is not
  • “24/7 always on” mindset- providing real-time updates and recommendations based on social listening across owned platforms (+ beyond)
  • Monitor comments and DMs and actively participate while adhering to company communication standards and guidelines. 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience creating social-friendly content across Instagram and TikTok
  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms, with experience managing content or marketing calendars, scheduling and community moderation
  • 2-3 years of social media, storytelling and community management experience ideal
  • Experience using in-app creative tools (Instagram, TikTok, etc) 
  • Proficiency in content creation and video editing
  • Strong understanding of social media, trending topics & beauty and wellness industry
  • Willing and able to attend in-person events, photoshoots, and retailers
  • Ability to identify and produce on-brand, engaging and creative content (text, image and video)
  • Ability to grasp trends on social media and act proactively
  • Excellent communication skills and collaboration skills
  • Experience working in a small, agile and flexible team
  • Must be based in the NYC area 
  • Some travel may be required
